Scholarship Guidelines

Scholarship Funding Arrangements

The financial incentives are designed to support scholarship recipients to successfully complete their studies. Funding and wrap around supports will be tailored to individual’s needs and outlined in an Individual Scholarship Plan. Funding may contribute to course fees, study materials (e.g. IT equipment, textbooks), and to enable participation and completion of study.

Scholarship funding will be paid in instalments, aligned with key milestones outlined in each recipient’s Scholarship Agreement. These include:

Study Milestones: Proof of intention to enrol, confirmed enrolment, completion of units, and graduation.

Employment Milestones: Proof of completion of a specified employment period (e.g. two years with an approved service).

Supports may include:

Training Incentive: Provided to employers as a contribution toward Training Provider gap fees when they take on a trainee.

Technology and Resources on Commencement: Recipients may be eligible for funding to access essential technology and resources to support their study.

Milestones

Scholarship funding is paid in instalments, based on the successful completion of key milestones:

Milestone 1: Proof of intention and confirmation of enrolment in a Skills Tasmania endorsed (where a Certificate III or Diploma) and ACECQA’s NQF approved, accredited early childhood qualification. This proof could include a supporting statement from employer, training provider or invoice for payment.

Milestone 2: Verification from the training provider, employer or Scholarship Program that the participant has started engaging with course content.

Milestone 3: Completion of a specified number of units, determined by the course type.

Milestone 4: Proof of successful course completion and attainment of qualification within the required timeframe.

Milestone 5: Proof of employment, for a specified period (on completion of your course), in the Tasmanian early childhood or school aged education and care sector.

*Milestones may vary depending on the course type and study mode.

Note: All payments are subject to the submission of satisfactory evidence and the availability of funds, particularly if milestones fall outside the funding period.
