Scholarship Funding

Certificate III 

  • Up to $1,500 contribution towards training gap fees, where applicable 
  • Up to $2,000 on commencement of study, financial support towards technology, where required 
  • $1,000 on the successful completion of a specified number of units, determined by the course type 
  • $1,000 on completion of full qualification  
  • $1,500 after a period of 2 years (post completion of qualification) in an approved Tasmanian education and care service. 
  • Up to $12,000 towards wrap around supports through the program.  

Note: All payments are subject to the submission of satisfactory evidence and the availability of funds, particularly if milestones fall outside the funding period. 

Diploma 

  • Up to $3,000 contribution towards training gap fees, where applicable 
  • Up to $1,000 on commencement of study, financial support towards technology, where required 
  • $1,000 upon demonstration of active participation in training 
  • $1,000 on the successful completion of a specified number of units, determined by the course type 
  • $1,000 on completion of full qualification  
  • $2,000 after a period of 2 years (post completion of qualification) in an approved Tasmanian education and care service. 
  • Up to $6,000 towards wrap around supports through the program.

Early Childhood Teaching Degree 

  • Up to $2,000 on commencement of study, financial support towards technology, where required 
  • $2,000 upon demonstration of active participation in training 
  • Up to $6,000 over the duration of study, with progression points determined by degree type 
  • $5,000 on completion of full qualification  
  • $2000 after a period of 2 years (post completion of qualification) in the education and care sector. 
  • Up to $13,000 towards wrap around supports through the program.

To be eligible the Early Childhood Teaching (ECT) qualification must be included on ACECQA’s NQF approved qualifications list and you must be employed in an approved Tasmanian education and care service. 

Relocation and Retention Incentives

To support educators in joining services located in remote and regional areas, we’re offering:

  • $2500 towards relocation to Flinders Island, Kind Island or a West Coast approved service. 
  • $2500 annually after a period of four years working at the service annually for three years (6 years tenure).
