We are a proud Tasmanian not-for-profit childcare provider of Long Day Care, Outside School Hours Care, Vacation Care services. and state-wide Family Day Care services. We encourage outdoor and self-directed play, getting messy and having fun within caring and safe boundaries.

We are currently seeking:

Experienced Room Leader

An Experienced Room Leader is integral to the development of our children and is a full-time position. However, we would consider flexibility for the appropriate applicant.

The right candidate will ideally be experienced with 1-2 year-olds and hold a minimum of ACECQA approved Early Childhood Degree or Diploma.

As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of childcare educators to cultivate a nurturing and safe environment for the children in care. As part of our team, it is essential that you understand Adventure Patch’s philosophy and we recommend you visit our website before applying.

Working within the philosophy and direction of the overall organisation, you will have autonomy in developing a program for the children and in managing your team.

You will receive ongoing support and mentoring from the Centre Leader, the Long Day Care Manager and the Educational Leader.

Minimum education requirement – ACECQA approved Early Childhood Degree or Diploma.
Current WWVP Card
Understanding of, and passion for, early childhood development
2+ years’ leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Willingness to embrace the Adventure Patch philosophy
Understanding of, and commitment to, working within the regulatory framework
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to work within our values framework as our Room Coordinators have a leadership role in modelling and coaching these values.
